About Wesley
Wesley Merillat joined Beasley Allen in February 2024 as an attorney in the firm’s Toxic Torts Section, where he handles Camp Lejeune claims.
A first-generation college student, Wesley grew up on a farm in rural Ohio. He’s grateful for the lessons about faith, family and hard work that helped shape him.
He and his wife, Steffenie, have three children: Evan, Avah, and Casen. They also have two Belgian cattle dogs, Rocco and Nola.
Wesley and his family attend Keystone Church in Saline, Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, salmon/saltwater fishing and watching his kids play sports.
Community Involvement
Wesley volunteered as a youth basketball coach at the YMCA and a local community center. He also served on the board of directors for a Habitat for Humanity chapter.

Career
Wesley has experience handling toxic torts, medical devices, and pharmaceutical mass torts and has also held leadership positions in coordinated litigations throughout his career.
Over the last decade, he worked at Charles Boyk Law, handling mass tort multi-district litigation. He was appointed to and/or performed committee work on several litigations. Wesley led the firm’s development of its civil sex assault litigation practice, representing victims/survivors of sex abuse.

Notable Cases
Wesley recently served on the Plaintiff Steering Committee for In re. East Palestine Train Derailment. He has had the privilege of serving on the Unsecured Creditors Committee in the case of In re. CS DIP, LLC. During this time, he helped negotiate settlements totaling $42 million to fund a bankruptcy trust that would benefit children who were victimized for profit by a national dental chain.
Aside from mass torts, Wesley has represented numerous victims/survivors of sexual assault against perpetrators and irresponsible third parties. He has obtained settlements and judgments for sex assault victims in excess of $30 million.

Wesley is involved with several organizations, including the Ohio State Bar, Michigan State Bar, Washtenaw County Bar Association, Fulton County Bar Association, American Association for Justice and the Toledo Bar Association, where he served on the Bar Admissions Committee for more than 10 years.
