We are proud to announce the promotion of four of our attorneys to principal.
David Diab
David Diab joined Beasley Allen in 2019. He works on cases related to environmental contamination of public water systems and private property owners and represents individuals who have suffered from nursing home neglect or abuse.
David is passionate about fighting for the underdog, particularly when it involves securing justice for those harmed by pollution or chemical exposure. Among his notable achievements is resolving a case for the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Gadsden, which enabled the construction of a state-of-the-art water filtration system to remove all PFAS from the city’s drinking water. Additionally, David played a crucial role in a case for the State of Alabama against opioid manufacturers and distributors, bringing justice to what he considers to be a legal drug cartel, allowing the state to allocate more resources towards addiction treatment.
Gavin King
Gavin King began working as a law clerk at Beasley Allen in 2019 before rejoining the firm as an attorney in 2020. He currently represents a variety of plaintiffs, primarily in environmental litigation.
Recently, Gavin was part of a legal team retained by the Alabama Attorney General’s Office that secured over $728 million in settlements from healthcare and drug companies responsible for the opioid epidemic. In 2021, Gavin served as lead trial counsel for the family of a Wilcox County man who tragically died due to the negligence of Camden Nursing Facility.
Leanna Pittard
Leanna Pittard joined Beasley Allen in 2023 with a passion for protecting the public from dangerous products. She currently works on Talcum Powder cases.
Leanna is dedicated to identifying and stopping the distribution of harmful products, particularly those linked to cancer. She considers the ongoing Talcum Powder litigation to be one of the most notable cases in her career and deeply values the relationships she has built with her clients throughout this journey. Before joining Beasley Allen, she spent over 20 years handling mass torts and product liability cases at various law firms.
Mitch Williams
Mitch Williams started his journey at Beasley Allen as a law clerk before being promoted to attorney in 2019. He focuses on cases involving product liability class actions and business litigation, handling cases involving major auto manufacturers and original equipment suppliers
Mitch loves the discovery phase of cases because it’s where the story is fully uncovered and developed. He brings a unique skill set to his clients, understanding both the complex legal and engineering issues behind product defects. He’s known for developing unique case strategies and presenting a streamlined and engaging story to both courts and juries. He’s been involved in several notable cases, including the GM 5.3L oil consumption litigation resulting in a $102.6 million verdict for the plaintiffs and the class.
