About Lance
Lance Gould began his legal career with Beasley Allen in 1997. He currently focuses on whistleblower litigation, wage & hour litigation and class actions.
He finds being a lawyer rewarding because it allows him to right wrongs and create significant changes, giving him a profound sense of purpose. Lance is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated attorney and was honored as the Beasley Allen Fraud Section 2009 Lawyer of the Year. As a member of The National Trial Lawyers Business Tort – Top 10, an exclusive organization limited to the top 10 attorneys in each state or region, he represents individuals and families in business tort claims within the American legal system.
Throughout his career at Beasley Allen, Lance has been a champion for justice, representing thousands of clients and securing multi-million dollar settlements. His efforts have compelled corporations to correct their improper practices. One of his most notable achievements was being part of the trial team that won a $14.7 million verdict for whistleblower Barry Taul, who bravely exposed his employer’s illegal kickback and false billing scheme despite facing physical abuse and death threats. Lance’s dedication to fighting fraud continued when he collaborated with the Kentucky Attorney General’s office to secure a $10.3 million settlement against Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. for Medicaid fraud. He also played a key role in a landmark case involving a door-to-door sales and finance scam, which resulted in a $581 million verdict and forced the finance company to cease such activities in Alabama.
Actively involved in several legal organizations, Lance served as co-chair of the Wage and Hour Section of the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group for 10 years, helping attorneys assist employees in recovering wages and benefits. Currently, he contributes to the Alabama State Bar by serving on multiple committees, including the Member Benefits Committee, Disciplinary Rules & Enforcement Committee, and Client Security Fund Committee.
Lance and his wife, Connie, are proud parents of three children: Madison, Jake, and Caroline. In his free time, Lance cherishes moments spent with family and friends, particularly during holidays and vacations. He deeply values their support through both good and challenging times. Lance is also actively involved in his community and has coached local high school mock trial teams.
