About Mary Cam
Mary Cam began her journey at Beasley Allen Law Firm in May 2019 as a law clerk before being promoted to attorney. She is currently handling cases involving Acetaminophen, GLP-1 drugs (e.g., Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Mounjaro), and Dietary supplements like kratom.
Mary Cam is dedicated to supporting individuals who are disabled or have become disabled due to defective drugs, medical devices, or consumer products. Her passion lies in advocating for their rights and ensuring they receive the help they need. In recognition of her commitment to pro bono services, Mary Cam received the “Medal of the Samaritan” award from the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program in both 2022 and 2023.
One of her most notable cases involved diet pill litigation that settled confidentially. It was the first case she followed from start to finish. Mary Cam built lasting relationships with several clients and was delighted to achieve favorable outcomes for them.
She is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the American Association for Justice, serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Women’s Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association, and is a member of its CLE Committee. Additionally, she was recently appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for the Toxic Baby Food Multidistrict Litigation.
Mary Cam is deeply committed to her community, serving as the scholarship advisor for the Lambda Kappa Chapter of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity and as a Board Member of the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program. She has a passion for gardening and reading, which allow her to unwind, connect with nature, and broaden her horizons through both fictional and non-fictional works. Additionally, she is a huge Swiftie!
Education
Mary Cam graduated cum laude from Huntingdon College in 2014 with a degree in Communication Studies and English. During her time there, she received the Lambda Pi Eta award for outstanding achievement in Communication Studies, was frequently on the Dean’s List of High Honors, and held leadership roles in the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity.
She earned her law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2020. At Cumberland, she was a traveling competitor for the National Mediation Team, received the Scholar of Merit award in Employment Law, and was active in several student organizations.
