About Sydney
Sydney Everett’s journey at Beasley Allen began as a summer law clerk in 2018. Driven by a sense of justice, she focuses her practice on product liability and personal injury cases. Sydney is currently working on holding major social media platforms accountable for their harmful impact on youth.
She says the social media litigation has opened her eyes to how much social media has negatively impacted our society, particularly our young people, and how much has been done knowingly and intentionally.
Notable cases include the JUUL Litigation, in which Sydney worked Beasley Allen cases up from start to finish, including the MDL’s lead Bellwether Plaintiff. Beasley Allen played a key role in securing a $235 million settlement against Altria Group Inc. in May 2023. This case was a significant victory in the fight against the youth vaping crisis.
Sydney is an active member of the Alabama State Bar, participating in the Young Lawyers’ and Women’s Sections. She is also an active Birmingham Bar Association (BBA) member and was selected for the BBA Future Leaders Forum Class 14. Additionally, she serves on the BBA Connections Committee and co-chairs the Social Committee, planning events that connect lawyers with the Birmingham community. Sydney is also involved in the BBA Young Lawyers Executive Committee and the BBA Women’s Section.
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Sydney now resides in Birmingham, Alabama, and attends the Church of the Highlands. She has a passion for people; she loves animals, music, yoga, and spin classes.

Sydney earned her Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in May 2018. During her time there, she was awarded a Merit Scholarship and recognized as a Scholar of Merit for product liability. She was also an active member of the Christian Legal Society.
